Jazz Band
Cascade High School Jazz Band, Fall Concert, 11-5-08
Cacade High School Jazz Studies is a performance-oriented course that meets during the “zero” period (before the start of school’s first period). Course focus is to learn as much as possible about music from the Big Band Era.
Members must be highly self-motivated and have a strong music background sufficient to learn and perfect more than sixty pieces of music in a very short amount of time. The course provides extensive training in music theory, ear training, musical style, improvisation, and music history.
